Sony recently has launched two new smartphones for the Sony Xperia brand line. The two smartphone to be launched are the Xperia SP and the Xperia L.
Sony already launched the flagship smartphone for 2013 i.e. the Xperia Z. The Xperia Z was launched in January in the MWC 2013 (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona, Spain. So the only question left for now is what would the two new smartphones will bring? And according to the experts the Xperia SP and the Xperia L will be mid-range and camera focused smartphone, respectively.
The Xperia SP is packed with a 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. The phone will have a 4.6 inch 720p HD display and a 8 megapixel camera. The body of the Xperia SP is kept thin. The body will have a metal(aluminium) finish and feel. The Xperia SP will be available in White, Red and Black color.
The Xperia L will be a camera focused smartphone, as discussed earlier. The Xperia L gives the user what Sony calls a “perfect smartphone camera experience” sporting a 8 megapixel camera. The phone along with the camera is equipped with HDR support and a dedicated camera key. The Xperia L also have Sony’s “Exmor RS for mobile” technology which according to Sony provides “vivid colors and Stunning clarity.”
The Xperia L will come with a 4.3 inch FWVGA display and dual-core snapdragon processor of yet unknown frequency. Alike the Xperia SP, the Xperia L also will be available in Red, White and Black colors.
Both of the new devices have NFC, Bluetooth v 4.0 and microUSB. The devices will be equipped with STAMINA mode, which enables extended battery life and the usual media related apps from Sony.
Both of the devices, the Xperia SP and the Xperia L will hit the shelves of the stores in the Q2, 2013.
