Panasonic recently added a new Toughbook to its Toughbook lineup. Panasonic’s Toughbook series is a well known series of laptops. These laptops are designed specially for businessmen and for the one who wants to carry away their laptops and give lots of abuses to them.
The company recently announced its Windows 8 touch screen laptop , the Toughbook C2. The laptop is a touch screen laptop with a five point touch screen laptop and comes with pre-installed latest Windows 8 OS. The Windows 8 touch screen notebook is the first laptop by Panasonic featuring Windows 8.
Acc. to the press release, the laptop features a 12.5 inch screen. The screen can be rotated and flipped back, that can turn the laptop to a big tablet like thing.
The laptop features a Third generation 2.8 GHz Intel core i5 processor. The company said that the laptop can run for almost 11 hours on battery which can be extended to 15 hours of battery life by the optional upgrade in the battery.
The new Toughbook is a semi-rugged laptop and can bear 30 inch drop-downs from six sides and 12 inch drop-downs from 26 sides. However, the rigidness doesn’t affect the weight of the laptop much, being a semi-rugged laptop the laptop’s wweight is still under four pounds.
The notebook will hit the stores in December and the users will also be able to choose the Windows 7 OS instead of the Windows 8, if they are not ready for the Windows 8.
The price tag of the notebook is a bit expensive as the notebook will cost $2,499. But as the name and description of the notebook says, the notebook is made for business not for the normal consumers.
