The world’s third largest Mobile Phone manufacturer in a very large room full of journalist in the gorgeous environment of Casa Llotja Del Mar, Barcelona launched its new and flagship Smartphone Ascend P2.
Amy Lou, Global Brand Director for Huawei quoted that “Today is the day Huawei grows up” before making a motivational speech about the company’s determination and continuous efforts to “make impossible possible”.
These quotes and the speech very well suited the new Ascend P2 a 8 mm super slim phone running on Android 4.1 featuring a 4.7 inch 1080p display and a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor.
Huawei is also calling the new Ascend P2, the world’s “fastest Smartphone,” basing it on the device’s in built LTE CAT 4 chip, which provides an internet data transfer speed of up to 150 Mbps.
This new Smartphone is also packed with something new, which Huawei is calling the “infinity edge display,” referring to the infinty pools from Singapore. The term refers to the device’s large 4.5 inch display as it gives the user a “borderless display” feel while in actual it doesn’t, Making the device a perfect phone.
The phone also features a 1080p HD 13 megapixel camera with BSI and HDI capabilities with a dedicated Camera on the go key. The 4.5 inches screen is 315 PPI screen with 500 nits of brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio. To take you through a busy schedule and a long nonchargeable run, the device consists of a 2420 mAh battery, which Huawei is claiming to be the best in class. The battery is coupled with device’s low power consumption as it takes 30% less power than its competitors. The phone also claims to be the world’s fastest charging Smartphone.
When listening to the music, the phone produces Dolby Sound Quality Effect.
Acc. to Huawei, the device will hit the shelves of the stores in the second Quarter of 2013 with an estimated price tag of € 399.
